While, foreign exchange or forex market is 24-hours open, which offers the wider scope for trading where time doesn't matter.

As a result of this, a forex trader can trade at any time during the day or night. Nevertheless, in comparison to the forex market, the stock market is open to business during day hours. Adding to this, they are generally closed on bank holidays, weekends or holidays. Moreover, stock market generally opens in the morning and closes in the evening.

The next major difference between both markets is that stock market takes place only within a country and primarily concerned with currency of a country, for example stock market of United States and United Kingdom deals in US Dollar and British Pound respectively. This is not in the case of the fx market. In the fx market, investors deal between two internationally accepted currency pairs of different countries, for example- dollar and pound, euro and dollar and many other currency pairs.
